Accel World AMV 17 – Taku x Haru

Taku x Haru! LOL. I wasn’t sure what I was thinking, but to hell with it. 😀 You can use your own imagination for the last half of the AMV.

Youtube version

Well, this is actually a botched AMV. 😀 If you noticed, Kuroyukihime and Chiyu are non-existent in the AMV other than in the starting credits. I want to use the song おかえり by ayaka for one of my AMVs since I like that song (the ED theme of J-Dorama “Zettai Kareshi”). I had a vague idea in my head, and went ahead making the AMV. I even made a pretty nice opening credits and title screen. I started the clips selection, selecting mostly clips of Taku and Haru first. But then I lost my train of thought. I just couldn’t come up with anything to match the lyrics of the song. The funny thing was, the clips I have selected of Taku and Haru kinda connected with each other, and, well… with a corrupted mind from reading too many doujinshi, voila. 😀 I already made an AMV in the theme of Taku x Haru pairing, Gravi World, so I thought oh well, let’s do another one with a bit of use-your-own-imagination something something. Poor Kuroyukihime, only featured in the starting credit.

Kamen Rider W, My Impression So Far

Kamen Rider W started with a weird premise, where 2 guys henshin into 1 rider. In the beginning, I smell yaoi-ness aplenty. I even made this video:

Fast forward, Kamen Rider W is actually a pretty decent show. No yaoi-ness I could see. Even better, it feels really like a detective J-Dorama, with tokusatsu mixed in. I really love the show. Funny and entertaining.

But then guess who showed up. A new Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider Accel, Ryu Terui. Not only the design is a stark contrast from W (he looks like a cheap toy design, unlike W’s smooth design), he can transform. Yup, another transformrider, the bad trend started by Decade. ONORE DIKEIDO!!! Really, I just hate this Transformers Riders stuff. It’s just weird (Kuuga’s head being flipped, firing arrow from Kiva’s crotch, etc). Kamen Rider is supposed to be “human,” not Transformers. Well, Kamen Rider Accel can transform into a motorcycle. Well, okay, the transformation isn’t as weird as the other Riders in Decade, but I still think it’s fishy. Well, guess what, in episode 22, Accel gets a new weapon, the Gunner A. It’s a tank, and Accel in his motorcycle form can combine with it. That sounds fine, until you see how they combined. Watch this video I made:

Yeah, you be the judge.
What were the producers and director thinking? That’s just bad design. I mean come on, really? I hope they don’t do that often in future episodes.

Edit: Youtube suspended my account for unknown reason. If there was a TOS violation, usually they simply disabled/deleted the video and gave me a warning. Now, my account just went poof. I’m uploading the video to metacafe.

TMNT… yaoi?

Remember Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? It was a cartoon in the 80s, remade, and recently became an animated CG movie. Well, what do you think would happen if Japanese fans got their hands on the material? Well, we would get better manga-like drawings, with a bonus. Wanna guess? What else, yaoi… LOL Apparently there are yaoi pairings of Rapahel x Leonardo and Michelangelo x Donatello. Yeah, not just some yaoi stuff, but is turtle on turtle action… LOL
Found these slideshows via Youtube.

I’m speechless. Regardless, you can’t argue that the drawings are excellent and cute (especially the chibi ones), better than the US cartoon ones, but…

Duel Love

Duel Love
Stumbled upon this from kotaku. It’s a Nintendo DS game. It’s obviously a shoujo/yaoi game. From the CM, looks like you’re a girl with a bunch of skinny pretty boys that are apparently in a fighting tournament of some sort. There are 4 bishounen boys, and of course 1 shota. So as a girl, what do you do? You cheer them when they’re down during a fight (Note that the DS has a mic), you treat them after fights (treat injuries, massage, wipe sweats), and see the guys enjoying your treatment and then follow the love-sim gameplay. Sounds weird? Watch the CM. LOL. The guys talk and moan too!

This is a game that only the Japanese can come up with. Oh, note that the characters are done by the same person that did Hanakimi. So yeah, finally a touch game for girls or yaoi/shota fans.

This is why I like Japan. They’re not afraid in releasing games like this. In the US, instead of creativity, we have recycled FPS games combined with a paranoid-Jack-Thompson community of idiot parents and lawmakers.

Here’s a bunch of screenshots from the CM.
